Historic bookshop W.H.Smith opened its first shop in 1792. It then decided to open a branch in Belgium in 1920. Known for its stationery and English-language books and magazines, it became the property of the Waterstones family in 1997. The shop is renowned for its for its purely British expertise and products from the island.
