Belgium’s National Day is just around the corner, and the celebrations kick off in Les Marolles.

For years, Place du Jeu de Balle has hosted the Bal National on July 20th — a no-fuss, high-energy party featuring DJs, live acts, comedians and singers, all connected by one theme: Belgitude.

Though the Bal National officially starts at 7 pm, we recommend spending your day exploring the neighborhood. Because it’s not just the square that’s getting ready to party — the whole area comes alive. Restaurants from around the world, proudly Belgian shops, antique dealers, vintage boutiques… Whether you’re strolling, scouting for ideas, or treasure hunting for souvenirs, you’re sure to find something you’ll love!

From July 3 to September 30, 2025, Brussels is turning bubblegum pink! With Brussels in Pink, the city welcomes the bold and quirky giant sculptures of Monsieur Rose — the iconic character created by French artist Philippe Katerine — into its most iconic shopping streets.

Every Thursday throughout the summer, you’re invited to the Place du Jeu de Balle for free concerts and entertainment, starting at 6.30pm. It’s a great way to spend time with family, friends or colleagues after work. We’ll tell you all about it!
