By Fleur Desalle & Camille Flammarion | The two architects had to play with the constraints of this partly listed site. First, they created a source of light by setting up a patio inside the island. Double glazing is not permitted at all for the bedrooms on the gallery side. To muffle the sound, they designed all-white shutters inside the bedroom. The beams and staircases also had to be preserved. The exposure of the period floors and the white walls create a feeling of calm and warmth. It is complemented by touches of colour in the form of vintage posters and designer furniture.
