Just a stone’s throw from the Grand-Place in Brussels is the îlot Sacré. In the heart of this district, the Restaurant ‘CHEZ LEON’ has been in existence for over 130 years and has become one of the must-visit monuments of old Brussels. Our restaurant, with its simplicity, its warm and direct welcome and its picturesque atmosphere, has captured the sympathy of the public and the hearts of gourmets. In 1867, Léon Vanlancker set up a restaurant called ‘A la Ville d’Anvers’ before opening, in 1893 and under his first name, what was to become the symbol of Belgian cuisine. As the years went by, the restaurant grew and grew. Kevin Vanlancker has now been running the restaurant for several years.
