À la Mort Subite

A La Mort Subite is one of Brussels’ legendary bars. Its name comes from the dice game « 421 », the loser of which is known as « sudden death ». In the old days, people used to play here all the time and eventually Théophile Vossen came up with the idea of naming his cafe after this term. Today, the fourth Vossen generation, Olivier and Bernard, continue to serve their delicious Gueuze beers.
