Spring in the City: What if we looked up for a change?

From March 21, Brussels shifts perspective and invites you to raise your eyes: the city transforms into a true hanging garden, where iconic streets are adorned with a spectacular open-air canopy of greenery.

In the heart of the Îlot Sacré, the magic begins instantly. Dozens of plant installations float above your steps, creating an unexpected oasis in the middle of the city. The experience is immersive as if nature had gently decided to reclaim its place.

A little further on, rue des Éperonniers becomes a must-see. Here, a canopy of purple wisteria sways above visitors, attracting both dreamers and lovers of the perfect selfie. It’s a place to pause, to take your time and to capture a suspended moment.

And then there is rue Marie-Christine. With its 15 flower-covered arches inspired by the Mediterranean, it transports you elsewhere. The atmosphere is soft, almost summery — like a preview of a holiday in the heart of the city.

Each street tells a different story, blending floral poetry, freshness, and urban rediscovery. It’s also the perfect opportunity to stroll, step into local shops, linger on terraces… in short, to rediscover Brussels in a new way.

Good news: this enchanting interlude will last until summer, before giving way to winter
illuminations. And for flower lovers, mark your calendar: Commerces en Fleurs, from August 13 to 30, 2026.

A simple yet essential invitation: slow down, breathe… and above all, look up.
