Since 2015, the City has been awarding this label each year to shops located on its territory, in order to highlight the quality of their services, their products, their innovations… and above all, to recognize the added value they bring to the City of Brussels.

To remember: 4 categories, the jury and the public prize
Te onthouden: 4 categorieën, de jury en de publieksprijs
This year, four categories of shops have been defined:
-
Historic shops
-
Eco-responsible shops
-
Neighbourhood shops
-
Trendy shops
A jury made up of influencers and industry professionals selected 23 shops based on several criteria. The awards will be presented on 6 October at Cinema Palace, during an evening to which all the City’s labelled shops are invited.
And once again this year, the public will have the chance to choose their favourite among the labelled shops. Everything will take place on our Instagram account in September. There will be one “public’s favourite” shop in each category. Don’t forget to vote for your favourite!
First category: historic shops
The first category the City wanted to highlight this year is historic shops. These shops have kept the heart of Brussels beating for decades, some even across generations. Carriers of high-quality know-how, they have also managed to reinvent themselves to continue to appeal to their customers. Discover them now!
Second category: neighbourhood shops
Neighbourhood shops are the ones we visit regularly, because we always feel warmly welcomed. Some provide essential services, others simply offer us a moment of relaxation, just like at home. Awarding a label is our way of thanking them for keeping the City alive day after day.
Third category: trendy shops
From businesses riding a wave of success to those constantly innovating… these shops also represent the true spirit of Brussels: dynamic, inventive, and not afraid to take risks!
Fourth category: eco-responsible shops
The fourth category, and by no means the least, pays tribute to shopkeepers who are committed, in one way or another, to respecting our planet. Whether it’s through the use of local products or quality upcycling… there are many ways to commit as a shopkeeper, and each of them only increases the quality of the services and products offered!
