Meet up on Thursdays on the terraces of the Place du Jeu de Balle!

Are you looking for a new spot to have an aperitif on Thursday evenings this summer? We’ve got a unique plan for you. Come and enjoy the many terraces on the famous Place du Jeu de Balle, in the heart of the iconic Marolles neighborhood! The various bars on the square welcome you in a relaxed and musical atmosphere.

 

On the agenda: relaxed terraces and musical atmosphere

Every Thursday of the summer, the four corners of the Place du Jeu de Balle host terraces to the delight of lovers of new trendy spots for their Thursday evening. Deckchairs, large tables, umbrellas… everything is set up for a nice relaxed moment, all in the heart of Brussels. Concerts are scheduled every Thursday at 7 PM, with performances before and after by various artists or performers.

Discover the line-up of the Marolles terraces:

  • July 4: Fanfare Krewe du Belge
  • July 11: Pelouse Grass Band
  • July 25: No Pareto
  • August 1: Fanfare Krewe du Belge
  • August 8: Tamara Brass band with also a saxophone animation before and after the concerts by Saxsofun.
  • August 15: Tropico Sun with a dance initiation before and after the concert by Madame Papillon.
  • August 22: Lizco followed by El Balcón
  • August 29: Blue Mockingbirds and La Jacqueline for DJ sets before and after the concert.

You are expected every Thursday of the summer on the terraces of the Place du Jeu de Balle, in the heart of the Marolles, the true Brussels neighborhood par excellence. The terraces are accessible from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM and the groups will perform from around 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

And if you want to extend your evening, you can do so without any problem in the various bars and restaurants in the neighborhood!

Attention! There will be no guinguette on July 18th, as the square will be preparing to host the festivities of the National Day, which takes place every year in the neighborhood. More info about this event:

The music is played in the open air and all passersby can enjoy it. If you want to drink or eat something, head to the shops and then settle on the guinguette terraces! For a preview, discover the participating shops below:

What to do before the terraces?
