From July 3 to September 30, 2025, Brussels is turning bubblegum pink! With Brussels in Pink, the city welcomes the bold and quirky giant sculptures of Monsieur Rose — the iconic character created by French artist Philippe Katerine — into its most iconic shopping streets.

"Brussels in Pink": Philippe Katerine turns Brussels' shopping districts into an open-air gallery
A vibrant, colourful and lively city centre
This artistic project, an initiative of the Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, aims to bring Brussels’ shopping districts to life by blending contemporary art, good vibes… and a strong invitation to shop local. In short, it’s about bringing fresh energy to the city while supporting independent businesses.
With his soft, playful and slightly absurd universe, Philippe Katerine fits perfectly into Brussels’ offbeat spirit.
Shop local, discover art & enjoy the city
As you wander from one sculpture to the next, you’ll dive into the tender, whimsical world of “Mignonisme” — the artistic movement imagined by Katerine. Thanks to fun signage, an interactive map and info about each piece, you’ll discover not only the artist’s work… but also some great local spots along the way.
Brussels in Pink is the perfect chance to (re)fall in love with the city: walk, look, smile…
