I’ve rediscovered the city center and I love it!
I grew up in Brussels (yes, for me Wezembeek is Brussels, as long as the STIB isn’t too far), and ever since, with family or friends, we would come to the city center to enjoy Winter Wonders, go to the cinema, or visit the bars of Saint-Géry. Then, I started working and my offices were located outside the city center, so I had less time to go back…until a few months ago. And wow, what a nice surprise to rediscover the city center, its bustling rhythm, and its quality shops!
I’ve rediscovered… the lunch spots for a quality midday break
L’INTERMEZZO, the authentic little Italian place, an institution since it’s my father, who has always worked in the city, who takes me there.

I’ve rediscovered... the independent shops
Strolling through the streets of the city center or running between two meetings is the opportunity to discover hidden treasures and meet passionate shopkeepers. Here are some of my favorites:

LE ROI DES BELGES
Swings instead of chairs to enjoy a drink, does that sound good to you? Head to The King of the Belgians for quality cocktails, a nice selection of draft beers, and the festive atmosphere we love at the Saint-Géry Halls.
CASCO
With friends, it’s my go-to spot for a drink in a relaxed and musical atmosphere (be careful: don’t plan anything after, it can last a while).

It’s so nice to reconnect with the shopkeepers. More and more shops are being opened by passionate people, experts in their field, and it shows in the quality of their products.
