For five generations, the Sauvages have following their passion for beautiful, authentic carpets. Born into a family of craftsmen, Isabelle Sauvage continues to uphold their traditional workmanship and values. No ordinary merchandise, the carpets on offer are true works of art, expressing the soul and know-how of the craftsman who make them. All classic Iranian carpets will come with a certificate, including an illustrative photo, specifying the characteristics of the piece: origin, age, number of knots, pile composition, warp and weft. This way, Sauvage customers can be sure they are buying a genuine Persian rug at the right price, and not a 'bargain' which, in fact, turns out to be a Pakistani or Indian rug. Their many trips to Iran have forged close links with local artisans, thus guaranteeing quality and fair prices.
